The Columbian international striker was the subject of rumoured interest from Tottenham, Q.P.R., and Fulham during the January transfer window but for a variety of reasons has remained a Latics player.

Now, Rodallega has spoken of his desire to leave the DW Stadium in the summer. He said: "It's sure that I won't play anymore for them after this season.

"This will be my last three months with Wigan. I'm already talking with other teams, but I won't name them. I must respect Wigan.

"Wigan have received many offers for me, but they always said no. I want to leave Wigan with the team having avoided relegation.

"I would love that Wigan fans recognise my effort when I leave the club in May."

Meanwhile his manager Roberto Martinez has praised the professionalism of Rodallega despite the controversy surrounding his future.

The Latics boss said: "It's a massive bonus having him still here and it was a great moment for us when the window closed.

"Although we have to be realistic, he can play a big role over the rest of the season for us. It's important that everything is sorted now the window has closed because, during it, there are so many distractions.

"It is difficult to be focused. But Hugo's been working hard to help the team. He showed against Everton that he intends to carry on like that."

Rodallega was a second half substitute in the 1-1 draw with Everton at the weekend but has been tipped for a starting role in the vital relegation six pointer against Bolton on Saturday.
