The 28-year-old forward, who is in his final year of his current contract, has been the subject of a bid from Turkish side Besiktas.

Roberts: Believes Wigan under-value him
Speaking to BBC Sport, Roberts said: "I was offered a new contract by Wigan about a month ago that was totally unacceptable. It seems my future lies elsewhere."

Roberts has stated his unhappiness with the Latics attempts to keep him, and added: "For me it's over, the club have treated me in a manner i think is disrespectful. That's fine - i don't feel like i have been treated the way i should have been treated, but it's time for me to move on."

"Things could have been done very differently. But there are no bad feelings from my point of view - if Wigan feel they want to move in a different direction that's not a problem, just give me the opportunity to do what i want to do."

the Grenadian, a £2million signing from West Brom, coulb be heading for a European campaign if a bid from Besiktas is successful.

Speaking about their interest, Roberts said: "Besiktas are a club in the UEFA Cup with jean Tigana as a manager so that's something i would look at, but we'll have to see what happens."

Willie Makay, well known by Latics fans for all the wrong reasons, claims Premiership duo Aston Villa and Charlton are keeping tabs on the striker, and talks between Wigan and Birmingham have been held, but no bid has been made.
