Things got better for Chris Hutchings, as his side which included debutees Mario Melchiot, Jason Koumas and Titus Bramble doubled their lead.
Good work from Koumas led to a parried header from Agohawa being slotted home by Caleb Folan. Two nil after twelve minutes.
Hutch' rung the changes for the second half. Mike Pollitt was replaced by returning England 'keeper Chris Kirkland.
All eyes were on Kirkand as FC Zwolle were awarded two penalties in the last 20 minutes. Kirkland saved the second, after the first was hit wide.
A winning start for Hutchings, and a clean sheet for Bramble and Melchiot, who captained the side.
