Reece Wabara has signed for Wigan Athletic on a free transfer after his deal at Barnsley expired this week.
The Manchester City graduate has signed a short-term contract that will keep him at the DW Stadium until the end of the season.
The 24-year old fills the right-back void at the Latics, as Kevin McNaughton is still suffering from injury and Donald Love was recalled from his loan spell by Manchester United.
Wabara has also represented Ipswich Town, Oldham Athletic, Blackpool and Doncaster Rovers throughout his career.
