Red Card Stands

As a result the striker - who has struck up a great partnership with friend Nathan Ellington - will miss the trip to the Hawthorns as the Latics take on promotion rivals, and Roberts' former club West Bromwich Albion on March 16th.

The Grenadian forward will also miss Saturday's clash with Crewe and the away trip to Bradford a week later.

The club had appealed after Roberts felt he should not have been sent off, he said that it was not violent conduct and the referee had made the incorrect decision.

The F.A.'s Video Advisory Panel agreed with this and the case was sent to the Disciplinary Commission who disagreed and so the red card will stand.

If this is the case, what is the job of the Video Advisory Panel?
