Whilst former manager Graham Barrow has tipped the new midfiedler to go on to big things with the club.
He is quoted in the Manchester Evening News: "Wigan have found it hard to replace Jimmy, but Palacios is the man. He has greatly impressed me with his all round game.
"Bullard was possibly a little over rated in what he did for the team. And when he left his attitude was: `There is better out there than Wigan.' I don't think this is the case when you look where Fulham now are.
"I really like the energy and the honesty shown by Palacios. He has proved to be an excellent signing.
"He has done very well and like Bullard, he too will run all day long. Palacios has proved to be an excellent signing.
"Brucie must be delighted but I'd like to think the lad has some goals in him. He's not afraid to have a go and one against Birmingham would do nicely."
