Ormerod's loan move was scheduled to end after the Leicester game and manager Paul Jewell swiftly moved to extend the move after the striker's impressive form.

Ormerod has taken one of the striking spots off 23 goal man Nathan Ellington and should hold onto that spot for this weekend's game with Leicester City.

Speaking this morning, manager Paul Jewell told the club's official website: "Harry (Redknapp) has done us a big favour and allowed Brett to stay with us for another month.

"They have a recall clause to take Brett back at any time, but hopefully for us he can stay, as the lad has bags of energy and enthusiasm and has done well for us."
