N'Zogbia settling in well

N'Zogbia has yet to be in a winning Wigan side since his arrival but there is no better place for him to experience this against Sunderland on Saturday where he will be in for a hot reception after the time he spent plying his trade in Newcastle.

Many are hoping that N'Zogbia will settle in quickly so that he and Antonio Valencia can become two of the most feared wing partnerships in the Premier League.

Speaking to Manchester Evening News online, N'Zogbia said:

"When Steve made an enquiry about me I was really excited.

"Wigan has been one of the stories in football in recent years. Steve has put us in a great position in the table and it's great to get the chance to be part of that now.

"He was honest with me, he said he wanted to bring in the next generation of players and it's an honour when someone like him wants you to be part of his team. Now it's up to me to prove he was right to have faith in me.

"I now think Wigan is a club where everyone moves in the right direction, players and supporters. It feels like a big family."

Wigan have not won in Sunderland since the first season in the top flight and will be hoping to end this poor record in the North on Saturday.
