Former Preston North End goalkeeper, Nash has left the club on a permenant basis for a fee believed to be around the £150,000 that the Latics paid to North End.

The 34 year old has signed a two year deal with Everton and said: "I have known of Everton's interest for the last couple of weeks and there have been a few sleepless nights hoping it would go through. Finally it has and I am over the moon."

Meanwhile, striker Antoine Sibierski has left to join Norwich City in a loan move until January 18th.

The 34 year old forward has fallen down the pecking order at the JJB Stadium since the return of Henri Camara and the move to Norwich is seen as a viable way for the Frenchman to keep his match sharpness.

City boss Glenn Roeder said: "He's scored lots of goals, many with his head, and will be a great role model for our younger players to work with."
