Mouyokolo Attracting Attention From Premier League

One of the latest players to be linked with a move to the JJB is Ligue 2 Centre Half Steven Mouyokolo. The 21 year old has impressed for Boulogne-sur-Mer and has attracted attention from Wigan, Newcastle United, Middlesbrough and Bolton Wanderers.

Despite attention from all across Europe as well, Mouyokolo has said that his preferred destination would be the Premier League. A move for the defender will not be likely in the January sales as Mouyokolo wants to sample Ligue 1 before moving on. Speaking to www.skysports.com, Mouyokolo wants to 'wait and see what happens'

"I am flattered by the speculation, it means I am doing my job properly, but I am just focused on doing the best I can," he told skysports.com.

"The Premier League is a dream for me, but I think I may need more time to get myself ready. My ambition is to compete in Ligue 1 before moving on to a bigger division.

"For now all this is just speculation anyway, my club look after me and if they are happy to let me go then fine, I am ambitious.

"I will move one day but I don't want to leave with enemies at the club because without them I would not have been given the opportunity to generate rumours.

"But, as the English say, let's wait and see what happens."

January should be an interesting time for Wigan with many fans hoping for another striker to join the ranks in the fight for points in what is becoming one of the closest Premier League seasons ever.
