Moses was utilised mainly from the bench last season as Martinez sought to bed the former Crsytal Palace man in slowly. However Moses now feels he is ready to give hte Premiership all he has.

Speaking in the Wigan Evening Post, Moses said: “It’s up to me to make it as hard a decision as I can for the gaffer. I just want to get on the pitch and enjoy myself, and I was delighted with the way I played on Sunday

“I tried and get in as many one-against-ones as I can, and the manager wants me to do that. I know I have got a lot of competition in my position, with Charlie, Hugo and also Mauro Boselli, who are all good players.

“But the gaffer is a top manager and he knows what he is doing.”

The youngster is present away with the England under 21 internationals who face Uzbekistan at Ashton Gate this evening, another challenge the front man is looking forward to.

“I’m really looking forward to it – I just want to do myself justice. It’s nice to play for England but my number one priority is Wigan and making sure I’m in contention for the game against Blackpool," added Moses.
