Stefan Iverson

The former Tottenham striker, currently plying his trade with Valerenga in Norway and has told the media that a move to Wigan is no on the cards.

"I have not been in serious contact with any other clubs," Iversen said. "I am under contract with Valerenga until November."

Whilst Paul Jewell said: "There's nothing in it."

Pascal Chimbonda

Who? Well, at the moment he is playing in France for Bastia and is 26 years old. He is said to be a full back, but can play almost anywhere.

Bastia have just suffered relegation from Ligue 1 and Chimbonda is now seeking a move elsewhere.

He has already turned down a move to Nancy and wants a move to the Premiership. West Ham have also been linked.

Ricardo Fuller

Tonight's Manchester Evening News has suggested that Jewell is likely to move for former Preston forward Ricardo Fuller, should Pompey sign Carlton Cole.

This story has no doubt been cooked up to sell papers and Fuller is very unlikely to be joining the Latics.

Jason Koumas

The former Tranmere midfielder is out of favour at West Brom and has been linked with a move to all three recently promoted clubs, with Sunderland said to be favourites for his signature.

However the Baggies are demanding a fee of £1.5 million for the player and none of the three clubs are prepared to take the gamble.

Steve Stone

This one is now dead, Stone today joined Championship club Leeds United on a two year deal.

He told BBC Radio Leeds: "I'm delighted to be joining. The club has turned it's debts around and is going in the right direction.
