Mellor failed to recover from a swollen knee which kept him out of first-team action since February 4th, and has now returned to Merseyside in a bid to ovecome his latest injury problem.
It is hoped the striker- who's solitary goal was a late winner against Mddlesbrough on his debut- will return to the JJB Stadium before the end of the season.
But the idea of Mellor returning to Wigan seems foolish, as there is very little chance he will break back into the first team.
And if you are like me, you won't be bothered that much if we never see Mellor in a Wigan shirt again.
