Melchiot ready for Arsenal test

Melchiot has played for both Chelsea and Birmingham during his time in England and certainly knows what it takes to defeat a side with Arsenal's quality.

He told the Wigan Observer: "Arsenal have started cracking now. It's going to be hard for them. I think when you have a young squad you need a couple of experienced boys to drag the whole team through. I'm not sure they have enough of that.

"Of course, as individuals the ability of Arsenal will never be the problem - it's just their experience. They have more than enough ability, they are one of the best in the league ability-wise. But the experience will come down to Man United.

"It's going to be a tough game because they are one of the best teams in the league. If you are going to face a team like them then we will need more than we gave at Manchester City.

"We're definitely up for it. These are the games that all the players want to show everyone what we're capable of. When you play against the best you don't need any motivation."
