In other Wigan news, Jewell has been quick to point out that the fans would have taken 8th place this far into the season, had they been asked before the season opened.
He said: "Every Wigan fan bar none would have taken our current league position if offered it a few months ago. We are on a bad run at the moment but every side goes through something like this at some stage. Certain people seem to think Wigan should be excluded from such a run, but it does happen.
