McArthur praise winning habit ahead of Cup changes

The Scotland international was part of the starting line up for the fateful day at Wembley last May but is under no illusions as to the importance of the league this year.

He told the Wigan Evening Post: “The main goal for us all has to be to get back into the Premier League, but we want to do well in the cup as well.

“Obviously you want to win every game you play, no matter the opposition and the competition. We need to keep the winning momentum going, we need to keep our unbeaten home record going which will stand us in good stead for the run-in.

“Winning is a good habit to get into – the more wins you put together the more ‘normal’ the feeling becomes.”

New Latics manager Uwe Rosler is set to ring the changes for the fixture following a grueling festive fixtures list that has stretched the squad to the full.

Roger Espinoza, Juan Garcia, Nouha Dicko, and Rob Kiernan are all expected to be given the nod from the off for the game.

Tickets are priced available via cash on the turnstiles priced at £10 with £7 for concessions.
