Manager Roberto Martinez has used his knowledge of Spanish football to sign the duo who are both tipped to have great futures in the game. At the ages of 17, Martinez has labelled the two signings as exciting prospects and is delighted to have them on board.
Speaking to the clubs official website, Martinez said "Both Roman and Abian are exciting prospects and it's a great sign of the club's outlook that we're bringing in young professionals that will hopefully be the future of Wigan Athletic.
"Their performances for their respective clubs have been fantastic and I'm confident that with the right approach from us, and the right attitude from them, they will have a bright future in the game."
Roman Golobart is a commanding centre back and Abian Serrano is an attacking midfielder who has a fantastic amount of pace to burn. Both should make good additions to the squad.
