Martinez expecting tough Hull match

Despite Hull's below par start to the season, the Tigers are not to be underestimated and the Latics boss is kene to ensure that there is no complacency within the Wigan ranks.

He told the Wigan Evening Post: "We all know how difficult it is to win points away from home in the Premier League, so I don't think we will be under any extra pressure.

"The only pressure comes from within and what we put on ourselves. We want to go to everywhere in the Premier League and look to win the game, and we'll carry on doing that.

"But I think to say we will be expected to win will be a bit too much. Yes, we are coming in off a very good performance - and forget about the result against Chelsea, it was all about the performance - but we need to maintain those standards.

"Sometimes when you are going through the good times, you can drop your standards or take your eye off the ball."

The Latics boss is expected to name the same starting eleven that defeated Chelsea at the weekend with Jason Scotland and Paul Scharner retaining their places in side after impressive performances.
