Maloney wants more action

The former Aston Villa and Celtic player put in a man of the match performance against Norwich, creating the equaliser for Victor Moses and setting up a host of other guilt edge chances.

Speaking to the club's official website, Maloney revealed how he now wants more first team action. He said: "It's been a while since I've had a run-out, and it has been a frustrating few months for me since I've been here.

"It was nice to get out there and show what you can do, and be of value to the team. We need to take this performance into Saturday and pick up all three points against West Brom.

"There are 10 games left and they're all vital - none more so than Saturday because it's a home game.

"Everyone is well aware we have to improve our home form because it's not been good enough."

The Scottish international forward had missed much of the season with a niggling injury, but appeared full of beans on Sunday and could well have an important part to play for the remainder of the season, starting with West Brom this coming weekend.
