Loan duo return to parent clubs

Centre forward Alex Revell and central midfielder Francisco Junior have both returned to their parent clubs following loan spells at Wigan Athletic.

Both had their loan deals at the 'tics cut short, but for very different reasons; Revell has been recalled by Championship side Cardiff City a month earlier than expected due to 'personal circumstances'.

The 32-year old scored one goal in seven appearances for Wigan - the winning goal at home to Shrewsbury Town on 21st November.

On the other hand, Junior has returned to Everton to receive treatment on a groin injury.

The 23-year old's loan was due to run out on the 16th January 2016 anyway, but Latics boss Gary Caldwell is keen to bring Junior back until the end of the season if his injury isn't serious.
