Latics win puts pressure on Ipswich

Last updated : 09 April 2005 By Paul Farrington
Goals from Jason Roberts and Alan Mahon sealed victory for the Latics who are now sat in second spot, but have played one more than the Tractor Boys.

Should Ipswich falter at Wolves on Monday night the impetus is firmly back with the Latics who will have the precious second spot on goal difference.

It is also worth commenting that Ipswich still have to face leaders Sunderland, who suffered a shock 2-1 home defeat to Reading today in the day's early kick off.
