Muamba's family fled the Congo and arrived in England in 1999 as Asylum seekers. He has since gone on to represent England at U16, U17 and U19 levels.
Known for his combative and athletic play, Muamba has become an integral part of the Birmingham midfield in their push for promotion.
Reading, Everton and Fulham are also said to be interested in securing the services of the much desired midfielder.
