Wilson Palacios: three and a half year deal
The fee is believed to be in the region of £1 million and Palacios could be in the squad in time for Saturday's encounter with Derby County.

A Honduran international with 42 caps to his name, Palacios has spent the first half of this season on loan with Bruce's former club Birmingham City.

He has agreed a three and a half year contract at the JJB Stadium after his six month loan deal with Birmingham ended on the 2nd of January.

The 23 year old made eight appearences for Birmingham including one of four starts against the Latics at St Andrews when Birmingham came out on top 3-2.

Other targets are said to be a left back, midfielder and striker. Palacios 'fellow Honduran and Olimpia team-mate Maynor Figueroa is currently training with the club and hoping to earn himself a move.

David Murphy of Hibernian is also being linked with a move to fill the left back spot, but he is wanted by Celtic and Rangers amongst others.
