The game is still too easy for Emile Heskey who will be sidelined until December, but with Antonio Valencia, Denny Landzaat and Mario Melchiot back in the team Hutch is much more positive.

He told the Wigan Evening Post: "We will be fighting hard because
we believe we can getsomething out of the game. We must think like that, whoever the opposition are. Every game you play you have to battle, you roll up your sleeves and earn the right to play.

"We'll have to be tight against Chelsea, but we have to create chances too. We aren't going to sit back. We have to be positive and give the crowd
something to shout about.

"In the last home game against Portsmouth, we didn't give the crowd
anything and it was a dull affair. But I'm confident we can get it right. We are getting our injured players back and I've always said that will make a difference.

"When we were doing well in the first few games, we had a settled side. But then we began to get injuries. Missing key players for four, six or eight weeks, however long it might be, makes things very difficult."
