Rumours have been rife all summer of an impending return for the Duke, and Paul Jewell has confirmed that he wants to bring the former Wigan striker back to the JJB Stadium.
"Nathan's one we have made an offer for, and is one of many we are chasing, so watch this space."
Jewell previously confirmed that he hopes to tie up two more signings, one believed to be Chris Kirkland, by Monday at the earliest.
It was thought that one of the two palyers was Nathan Ellington, although it now seems as if his almost inevitable return will have to wait a little bit longer.
