"I think we're stronger with the four players we've brought in but the most important thing for me was to keep the nucleus of the team together.

"We wanted to tie up the likes of Kirkland, Scharner, Palacios and Valencia to new contracts, and we've managed to do that.

"The big worry is if you look at Fulham and Sunderland, teams that we finished above last year, and how much they've invested.

"But overall we're very pleased with what we've done, I think we're better equipped than we were last year, and that's all you can ask for."

Any move for Arismandi would surely signal the end for either Henri Camara or Antoine Sibierski, but it is unlikely that any move is on the cards with Bruce happy with what he's got.
