Cardiff are currently the subject of a transfer embargo until their debts are settled. However it is expected that once this embargo is cleared, Koumas will join the Bluebirds.
The Daily Express is reporting that the transfer is likely to go ahead which will be music to Wigan fans ears.
Koumas has been little other than a drain on wages during his time with the club. He also costs £5.5 millon when signed from West Bromwich Albion.
