Latics earn Ferguson's backing

Ferguson has been quoted: "You're suprised if any team comes out of the first division and does well these days, because of recent history. Most of the teams to come up from the first division were sinking almost as soon as they arrived.

"But Wigan have been a revealtion this year in that respect. Wigan have been the suprise packet. It just shows what you can achieve if you havea bit of drive and ambition about you."

The Latics face Manchester United at Old Trafford on the 14th December and the Latics have completely sold out their allocation of tickets.
