The Guardian is today reporting that Paul Jewell is set to offer £10 million to West Brom for Nathan Ellington, Zoltan Gera and Curtis Davies.

The paper states that the move comes after Jason Roberts seems set to join up with local neighbours Blackburn Rovers.

The Daily Mirror adds further weight to the speculation with its comment that Gera wants to leave Albion and return to the top flight.

While the Wigan Evening Post is quoting that the club have had a £3 million bid for Crystal Palace defender Fitz Hall accepted, and the 6ft 4ins defender is set for talks with the Latics when he returns from his holiday.

This link comes after Paul Scharner's decision to focus on a central midfield birth for the club, leaving only Matt Jackson and Arjan De Zeeuw to fill the centre back spots.

Rumours are also rife that Jewell is going to move for two World Cup stars. Denny Landzaat of Holland and Nico Krancjar of Croatia.

One rumour that will not be going through is the transfer of James Milner who has agreed to stay at Newcastle after talks with new boss Glenn Roeder.

The former Leeds midfielder is needed more than ever after the recent injury to Michael Owen.
