Before the saga surrounding his immediate future, Martinez had targetted the addition of upto four players before the start of Euro 2012.
With his Wigan Athletic future now secure the incoming transfers can now hopefully start rolling.
Chef Executive Jonathan Jackson told the Wigan Evening Post: “Before he went on holiday, Roberto identified a number of players who we are looking to recruit.
“And we have been working hard to secure those deals as we speak.
“The season has only just finished, but you have to move quickly in these situations. And if Roberto wants a player we’ll do everything we can to make it happen.”
No names were mentioned but with the departures of seven players this summer already it could be another summer of big changes at the DW Stadium.
