Landzaat refuses to rule out move

The 31 year old Dutch international midfielder has been the subject of enquires from former club Ajax and also Feyenoord. However he has rebuffed moves home to Holland in favour of fighting for survival with the Latics.

This week however he revealed that a summer move cannot be ruled out. Landzaat said: "I've heard a lot of stories about other clubs. It's always nice if your name is heard about going."

"Ajax is a club where I played, but I like it here at Wigan. I want to help them stay up - that will be like winning the title.

"I will be staying now. In the summer everything is possible. I don't have to finish my career in Holland. My family like it here so we don't have any key points to go back."

Landzaat has been steadily improving in the middle of midfield and has chipped in with Christmas goals, against both Bolton and Blackburn Rovers. It is expected that he will line up against Everton on Saturday and is said to be a big part of new manager Steve Bruce's plans.

Meanwhile, Ryan Taylor is expected to be fit for the clash with Everton and could take the place of new signing Wilson Palacios who made his debut against Derby last weekend.
