quickly by Landzaat who wants to establish himself in the Premier League.

Landzaat scored two goals in 33 appearances since his Summer switch from AZ Alkmaar, were he was captain.

And although he enjoyed a better second half of the season, Landzaat said he still has a lot to prove: "I don't have the feeling that I am done in England after only one season at Wigan Athletic."

The Dutch International also feels Premiership football is helping his International career, "Staying at Wigan also has consequences for me playing in Oranje," he continued.

"The level of play in the Premier League is enormous. Each week you play against big clubs in beautiful stadiums.

"The game play is so fast here. In England I really became stronger as a player and I am still growing. That is also nice for the Dutch national team."

Landzaat joined last year with huge anticipation. Fans hope to see the best of the 31-year-old this year; if he can get in the side that is.
