Kupisz is now 19 and made his first team debut in the 4-0 victory over Notts County in the Carling Cup scoring the final goal of the game.

Meanwhile, Cywka 20, who suffered a bad knee injury towards the end of the season, made his first team bow against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup third round defeat at White Hart Lane.

Both players are said to be very close to the first team and the club and have impressed Steve Bruce enough to be given improved deals with the club.

Speaking to the club's official website, Cywka said: "I'm happy to sign. I had a pretty good season until the injury, but my plan now is to move to the next level and try and make it into the first team squad. It has to be."

Whilst Kupisz added: "I have been happy at Wigan and I feel my game has come on. But I want to play first team football and my ambition is to do that here at Wigan."
