luckily for Wigan, it is not serious, but with Kirklands past injury problems, it was decided he return to Wigan. He will be fit though to continue his fine start to the season at Portsmouth.

The 25-year-old has suffered a touch of sciatica and has been withdrawn as a precautionary following discussions between Wigan physio Alan Tomlinson and England's head physio Gary Llewellyn.
