King likely to seal loan move

King has struggled to settle with the club managing just one goal in his seven months with the club. Now the former Nottingham Forest and Watford striker is likely to complete his move to Hull by the end of the week after completing a medical at the KC Stadium yesterday afternoon.

The newly promoted club had been linked with Claudio Pizarro of Chelsea, but were put off by his £50,000 a week wages. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Hull boss Phil Brown said: "It's going to be a busy week. The Marlon King situation is ongoing and we're still looking to strengthen."

It had initially been agreed that King would move for a fee of around £3 million but that move has broken down following his over-ambitious exit demands.

It is rumoured that King wanted a big pay off from the Latics despite his below par performances for the club.

But now, with both managers getting edgy ahead of the new campaign, a loan move has been agreed to allow King to move to Hull. A permenant move is likely to materialise by January.
