The 28 year old attacking midfielder joined the club from Birmingham City for a little over three mililion pounds during the summer.

However he has struggled to find his feet at the club and has not replicated the form shown during his spell with the Blues.

Now, club mate Emmerson Boyce is tipping Kapo to turn his fortunes around following his 82nd minute strike against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Boyce told the Wigan Evening Post: "I'm happy for Kapo because he scored. It's just a shame the goal couldn't earn us a draw which I thought we deserved.

"He's waited for his chance and it will be a nice lift for him. Now he gives the manager something to think about, another option in midfield."

Kapo is likely to start against West Ham United at the JJB Stadium on Wednesday evening in what Latics boss Steve Bruce has called a decisive game in the season for the club.
