Paul Jewell: Three in a row?
Jewell has won the award now for both September and October and despite what looks like a near impossible run of fixtures the Latics boss is hopeful of makin it three in a row.

Jewell said: "The best thing about winning the award is that I know my team is winning matches. I know if we get another couple, we should be safe.

"I'm enjoying it at the moment, but either games won't be enough to keep us up and we need to keep working hard. I never really like these awards because it's down to the players ultimately, but having said that, managers are the ones who get the sack if things go wrong, so maybe I should start taking the credit a bit more!

"It's great to be going into these games with a decent points tally. It meas we can approach them with a bit less fear and trepidation than if we had five, six or seven points. I never set targets, but if you'd said to be before the start of the season after 11 games 'would you have taken 12 points', I probably would have.

"So we are ahead of schedule, but I've just said to the players that we want to kick on from here, we don't want to rest on our laurels and admire how well we've done."

The Latics boss also had a message regarding Arsenal forward Thierry Henry ahead of Saturday's game, Jewell commented: "People say he's got everything. But he doesn't score too many with his head. We've been solid at the back so far and we'll need to keep him quiet as well as the rest of their players. We're delighted with what we've done so far, but we're not basking in it."
