Jewell wants cup win

Jewell told wiganathletic.tv: "It's the next game, so it is a priority in that respect, but as far as the season is concerned if we stay in this league then that's all we're concerned about. Anything else that happens is a bonus.

"Of course we want to win tomorrow, but nothing should get in the way of our league campaign. There will be a lot of changes from Saturday.

"This will be a big game for Newcastle because it's a chance for them to claim a European spot. I think they will play their strongest side.

"I believe in using settled sides, but if we start losing games week in and week out, then that will change. People are going to lose form, get injured or get tired.

"It's important for the players who are on the fringes to stake a place because it's a long season."
