Jewell Resigned?

Although nothing has been confirmed by the club, it is speculated Paul Jewell and Dave Whelan mutually agreed to Jewell's resignation.

Newspapers over the weekend have rumoured Jewell to leave, with newspaper reports today claiming he was on the verge of quitting.

Sky Sports News also speculate Wigan could announce Jewell's successor at the 3:00pm press conference.
