Jewell hits out at whinging Managers

Arsenal boss Wenger didn't take kindly to Alan Pardews goal celebration
when Marlon Harewoord scored late on to condemn Arsenal to a 1-0 defeat at Upton Park.

The Frenchman lashed out, pushing his managerial counterpart, after Pardews wild celebrations, but even after Pardew apologised, Wenger refused to shake Pardews hand at full time.

Jewell told the Manchester Evening News:"I wouldn't like to say if Alan was out of order but I do know that Arsenal don't like losing. I am also getting fed up with top managers coming out moaning and groaning every time they get beat.

"I've never yet heard them come out and say they deserve to lose - they either got kicked off the park, they had no luck or it was the referee's fault - there's no grace in defeat.

"I remember when Arsenal beat us 3-2 at home last year they said what a good team we were, then we beat them at Highbury in the Carling Cup and they claimed we kicked them off the park."

Meanwhile, Wigan have been linked with January moves for Preston hot shot David Nugent and Southends hero of the Carling Cup Freddie Eastwood.
