Jewell condemns JJB pitch

Jewell told the Wigan Observer: "We had a terrible pitch the season we got promoted. The pitch here is a problem for both sides. It's not easy to play on.

"It's difficult for the groundsman - he's got a tough job. I don't think team enjoy coming here and playing on it. It's not a pithc like Highbury or Anfield - you have to play to the conditions."
