Injury update

Jewell said:"Matt Jackson's achilles is a bit better this morning but we've sent him for a scan to see the extent of the damage. We should know later in the day where he stands with that. We've also had a bit of a scare with Gary Teale this morning as he's felt his collar bone a bit and had to stop training, so we'll probably send him to see the specialist just to get it checked out. Touch wood he hasn't done any serious damage because he only felt it as he turned, he hasn't got a bang on it or anything.

"Mike Flynn's foot injury kept him out on Saturday but that bruising's gone down and he'll probably train later in the week while Steve McMillan will also be stepping up his progress as of today. We're down to the bare bones again to be honest and when you take into the fact that both Magno Silva Vieira and Tony Dinning have come back from their loans spells injured, and that Peter Kennedy's had a hernia op then you can see that we're without quite a lot of our squad.

"We'll keep on going though and it just means that we're going to have to ask for even more from the players that are available if that's possible and they are now the ones who need to win Saturday's game for us. At least Alan Mahon came through 20 minutes unscathed on Saturday and it's good to have him back as we have missed the balance that he gives us."
