Holt departs as Espinoza is tipped for an exit

The former Norwich City striker spent a period on loan with Aston Villa last season and is clearly not in the plans of Uwe Rosler.

The Latics manager has revealed that he is not willing to let his players leave on the cheap.

"We have enquiries but either way there are certain players I don't want to go out on loan and certain players clubs are asking for too much financial contribution from us and I think that will make no sense to give such good players away for half the price," he explained.

"At the moment there is an imbalance for what we are looking for, who we want to go out and which players can create interest from other clubs."

Wigan Athletic invested over the summer in Oriol Reira and Andy Delort, both forwards, and it would appear that Holt's time with the club is nearing an end.

Meanwhile Roger Espinoza is being tipped for a move back to the US as he is unhappy with the level of game time he is receiving with the Latics.

The Honduran international has found first team opportunities limited and key voices in the MLS are tipping Espinoza for a return to his former club Sporting Kansas City.
