Holland beckons for Edman

The Latics boss has made no secret of his desire to offload a number of fringe players, citing earlier this month that as many as six may leave.

Edman meanwhile needs first team football as he aims to regain full match sharpness following his knee injury last season.

Now 31, the Swedish international defender is interesting both Feyenoord and NEC Nijmegan in Holland. No fee has been discussed but anything around the £500,000 would be sufficient for the Latics to sell.

His agent Allan Bak Jensen told Aftonbladet: "Three clubs have made concrete offers."

Edman added: "My focus is still on Wigan. Then we will see what happens during the rest of the time that the transfer window is open in January."
