Heskey hopeful of quick recovery

After re-breaking into the England team and after a season of phoenominal displays for Wigan it was pure bad luck for Heskey to suffer the injury in the most inocuous of circumstances.

However being the positive individual that he is, Heskey is hopeful of a quick recovery from the same injury that kepy Wayne Rooney on the sidelines for three months.

Heskey said: "The injury happened when I went over on my ankle and all the weight was on the side of the foot. The doctor thinks it was something which had been going on for a while, and this was the last straw.

"At the moment it's quite frustrating sat in the gym, watching the lads through the window on the training pitch. When I had the operation, the doctor told me it would be between six and eight weeks before I was playing. So there's another three to five weeks left.

"You never know, once I get the boot off, it might have healed a little bit quicker. I hope I'm a quick healer." Both England and Wigan fans will be hoping the same. Get well soon Emile.
