Hate to say we told you so...

After Paul Jewell's little rant at the Wigan public last Friday it is refreshing to see that the town has responded to the club's reduction in prices.

Supporters have been calling for the reduction since the season opened and the Chelsea game was originally pencilled in at a silly £35.

On Tuesday I asked PJ to reserve judgement on the Wigan public until after the Chelsea game (read the article HERE). The fixture has subsequently sold out.

It's not rocket science, fans are not prepared to pay silly sums of money. £15 may be a little on the cheap side, but the original £35 was way off the mark.

Jewell told the club's official website: "It's a magnificent response. I keep saying that the crowd can be our 12th man, and when the JJB is full it can be a real cauldron of noise. Hopefully, we can create an intimidating atmosphere on Saturday and put in a good performance.

"There is no fear in the dressing room. They know Chelsea are a good team, but we pushed them all the way here last year, and only lost narrowly at Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea know they're in for a match."

Well played Wigan public, let's get behind the team.
