Golobart completes Rovers switch

The 20 year old centre back has been signed by Tranmere to cover for a spate of injuries to their regular centre backs.

Golobart enjoyed a successful loan spell with SPL side Inverness last season and is likely to play a big part for Tranmere over the next four weeks.

Rovers boss Ronnie Moore said: "I’m really pleased to bring Roman in from Wigan.  With Ian Goodison injured, Ash Taylor picking up a knock at Aston Villa and Mark McChrystal still needing more games following his injury, we were short at the back so Roman is a welcome arrival.

“He’s a tall, dominant centre back who has good experience from his time in Scotland last season.  Wigan rate him highly and I’m sure he’ll be a good addition to our back line.”

Golobart will go straight into the Tranmere squad and is in contention for a place in the team for the fixture with Colcheser United at home.
