Bullard, 27, qualifies for the nation as a result of his grandmother Rose and he wants to earn a place in Klinsmann's World Cup plans.

Bullard said: "We'll see what comes of it. Probably noting, but my agent wanted the certificate just in case. I've never been to Germany, the closest I've got is Denmark. But I'm up for it. Maybe Michael Ballack needs someone to do his running."
