Manchester City, Manchester United and Everton are the clubs linked with the England under 21 international full-back, although the latter seem most likely to secure a deal.

The Toffees are said to have offered £5 million plus midfielder Lee Carsley in a deal that would see Baines move to the club he supported as a child.

On the incoming front and West Brom's Paul Robinson is said to be close to a £2 million pound move to replace Baines at the JJB.

28 year old Robinson is team captain at the Hawthorns and his aggression would be welcomed into the club's defence.

Perhaps the suprise of the rumours comes with Mohammed Kallon of Monaco being linked with the Latics.

The former Inter Milan striker is said to be the subject of a £3 million bid from Hutch after he failed to get Marlon Harewood.

Meanwhile, the move for Fulham midfielder Michael Brown is on hold at the moment after the club couldn't agree personal terms with the midfielder.
