Folan not for sale

Folan has been the target of interest from Carling Cup opponents Hull City who are said to be prepared to pay upto £1 million for his services, but Hutchings is refusing to budge.

He said: "I don't want to sell Caleb at this moment. If I did it would have to be a huge offer. He's come a long way in a short of space of time. Last year he came along and he scored some important goals for us, and last night he worked very hard, as he always does. He is still a bit raw, but he is learning the game all the time."

Despite being six foot plus, the lanky striker has a poor heading ability and at 24 it is doubtful how much potential he has. The performance last night against Hull did little to inspire confidence as both Folan and Camara did offer anything of Premiership quality.

Hutchings is also hoping to add new faces to the squad with the likely additions of Deigo Placente and also an un-named striker.

"We're working hard behind the scenes on one or two things, but whether it comes off or not remains to be seen," added Hutchings.

"Things have been going along nicely, but you never know in this game as we proved before when we tried to get (Marlon) Harewood, and it fell through at the last minute."
